Our Story
Two friends. Two stories. One shared dream.
Years ago, Cenk Özkan and Ahmet Arslan came to Finland, each carrying their own passions and memories from Türkiye. It was the scent of morning simit, the sound of clinking rakı glasses, the warmth of family breakfasts, and long dinners that stayed with them. Years later, the dream realizes at Katajanokka, one of Helsinki’s gems.
Meyhuone was born out of loving food, culture, and human connection.
From sunrise breakfasts to late-night rakı, Meyhuone delights your senses with unforgettable flavours all day long, where the vibrant spirit of modern Helsinki blends seamlessly with the soulful flavours of Türkiye—every dish at Meyhuone is a story, and every corner feels like coming home.
Cenk, with his sharp business acumen and warm curiosity, seamlessly connects the kitchen to the community. Ahmet, both chef and artist, masterfully blends colours and flavours with equal care, his plates as vivid and expressive as his canvases. Together, they create not just meals, but edible works of art that tell a story with every bite.
